What is Chronos?

The Chronos app is developed as an independent, third-party application. It should be noted that there is no official affiliation with any smartwatch manufacturers, and complete support is not always guaranteed. To ensure maximum compatibility, the development process requires physical access to various smartwatches. However, due to the diversity of features among these devices, it is not feasible to own all of them, given the associated costs and the extensive time required for testing and integration.

Support for the project can be provided by making donations through PayPal or Ko-Fi. These contributions will aid in acquiring additional smartwatches and maintaining the coding process.

We genuinely appreciate your support, feedback, and suggestions. Rest assured, we remain committed to further developing the app to the best of our abilities, regardless of the challenges we encounter along the way. Thank you for being a part of our journey.

My watch is not supported (shows Unsupported Protocol)

Currently we support watches that use WearFit apps only. Other watches are not supported.

Some features are not working on my watch

We do not guarantee full feature support on all smartwatches since there are a variety of different functions on different watches. We will try and add support whenever we can.

I cannot upload .zip watchfaces. Upload failed

Currently we only support .bin upload. Zip uploads is experimental and not guaranteed to work.

There are no watchfaces for my watch

Since this is a third party application, we do not guarantee to provide watchfaces for any watch. We also cannot add watchfaces as per your request since they are provided by the user community. If you need compatible watchfaces for your watch, use the manufacturer recommended app. Take note that the primary objective for the app is not to provide watchfaces.

Can you add support for my watch that uses a different app

Well, it is not as simple as it seems. First, we need physical access to the smartwatch and more time to research. FYI the current app took 2+ years to research and develop.

Why are there no online watchfaces for my watch

Online watchfaces are provided by the user community; there might not be a developer focusing on your watch, but you can still get watchfaces from other sources.

Are the watchfaces safe to upload on my watch

Uploading of watchfaces through the Chronos app is done at your own discretion. You should never upload watchfaces that are not suitable for your watch. You might end up bricking your watch as a result.

The translations are not correct in my language

The app translations are automatically generated; however, they can be corrected through the online document.

I searched for my watch to connect but it's not found

Different watches advertise different BLE discovery services, therefore it is possible that yours may not have been added yet. You can scan the QR code or enter the MAC address manually if you are sure your watch is already supported.

I tried to upload the watchface but it fails

Watchface uploads are only for watches that already support it. If your watch did not previously support it, then it will not be possible.

I have changed the watchface background but it is discolored.

Chronos does not process images; therefore, the most frequent colors in your image are used. To fix the issue, ensure you are processing the image by reducing the number of colors since most watchfaces use color indexing techniques which limits the number of colors to 255.

Can I add elements to the watchface

Currently, the editor only supports changing of elements by substitution, moving the location, or deleting. Elements cannot be added.
